Goodbye, Archive

Dear Readers,

It is with sadness that I inform you we will no longer be adding new content to The Archive.

Of all the segments of Moyé, The Archive was the quickest to be named. When I named the blog, I had a rudimentary understanding of what an archive does. I chose it because it sounded cool. At the time, my desire was to immortalize and display works by young artists that would have otherwise remained in notebooks and computer archives. Perhaps it was like one of those self-fulfilling names, where naming something shapes its destiny. Now, I understand what an archive truly represents, and the name has proven to be quite accurate.

One of the beautiful powers of the internet is that death is non-existent. Resurrection is possible. Resurgence is not only possible but inevitable in the digital space we chronically reside in. These parts of us might be dormant now, but there is always a possibility for them to come back. Maybe in a different form, in ways that you and I might not recognize. We may leave it up for you to scan through, and that will be that.

But for now, The Archive needs to be put to rest.
